Course Description
The Citizenship Preparation program provides opportunities for individuals to learn about the United States naturalization process. These citizenship courses will teach the reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills necessary to successfully prepare for the naturalization interview. It will also cover tips on how to study and prepare efficiently for the test.
Course Structure
Course Length: 4 weeks
Meeting Days: Tuesdays and Fridays (see course sessions), the first date is the first day of class.
Meeting Time: 3:00 p.m.– 4:15 p.m.
Location: Virtual Meeting through ZOOM
Number of Class Meetings: 8 lessons, Total Course Hours: 10
Languages
English. With Russian language support every other month.
Course Sessions for 2021

Session #1: 15 March – 8 April (English, Russian)
Session #2: 19 April – 13 May (English)
Session #3: 24 May – 17 June (English, Russian)
Session # 4: 28 June – 22 July (English)
Session # 5: 2 August – 26 August (English, Russian)
Session # 6: 6 September- 30 September (English)
Session #7: 11 October – 4 November (English, Russian)
Session #8: 15 November – 9 December (English)
If you miss a class during your selected session, you can attend the class that you miss in another session. You can also sign up for multiple sessions and repeat the course for a price of $40 per session.
Cost
This Citizenship classes are supported by the ORI (Office of Refugees and Immigrants) grant and are free for those who qualify. For those who do not qualify, we charge $40 for a monthly course but no one will be turned away due to inability to pay.
