The Multicultural Resource Center of Massachusetts (MRC) continues to empower immigrants, refugees, and residents of Western Massachusetts on their journey toward success and community integration. Our ongoing Citizenship, Employment, and Senior Support programs remain open and active for 2025–2026 β€” providing free classes, personalized assistance, and a welcoming environment for all.


πŸ—½ Path to U.S. Citizenship

MRC’s Path to Citizenship program guides lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees through every step of the naturalization process. Participants gain the knowledge, language skills, and confidence needed to become U.S. citizens.

Program highlights:

  • Assistance completing Form N-400 and preparing documents
  • Free citizenship classes covering civics, history, and government
  • English language support and mock interviews
  • Translation and document review
  • Fee waiver guidance and special senior support

Classes meet twice a week (two hours each session) and are available both in-person and online.

Programs for Adults 60+

MRC is proud to provide specialized support for older adults (60+) who are preparing for U.S. citizenship or seeking to stay active and engaged in the community.

Services include:

  • Discounted or waived application fees for qualifying seniors
  • Modified civics and language testing options for long-term residents
  • Flexible class schedules and smaller group sessions
  • 1-on-1 consultations and personal assistance throughout the process

Our bilingual staff ensures that seniors receive patient, compassionate guidance and access to all necessary resources β€” making the path to citizenship easier and less stressful.

Path to Employment

For those preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce, MRC’s Path to Employment program offers free career-readiness classes and individual coaching. Participants learn essential job search and workplace communication skills in a supportive, small-group setting.

Topics include:

  • Interview preparation and mock interviews
  • Job search strategies and LinkedIn training
  • Computer skills and professional email writing
  • Career planning and goal setting

Classes are open to job seekers of all ages and experience levels, including seniors looking for part-time or flexible employment opportunities.
