About

Our Mission

The mission of the MRC is to promote well-being of the community through providing assistance to immigrants and refugees with integration into the American society while preserving their cultural heritage.

Our History

The Multicultural Resource Center (MRC) is a successor of the Western Massachusetts office of RCAM, which served the Russian-speaking community of the greater Springfield area from 2004 to 2014. The MRC now functions as an independent non-profit community-based organization and was granted a 501(c)(3) designation in July 31, 2014. The MRC provides a comprehensive range of immigration services and adult education to the immigrant population in the USA. The Center is organized and led by a Board of Directors comprised of local citizens who support the mission and objectives of the MRC along with an Executive Director and staff.

Our Clients

Most of our clients are Russian-speaking immigrants from the former USSR countries. In addition to taking over RCAM’s mission of serving the Russian-speaking clients, MRC expanded its services to include other immigrant populations who speak various languages including but not limited to Somali, Iraqis, Bhutanese, Syrian, and Urdu. MRC offers different programs and services including civic and English language education, preparation for employment, access to health services, translation and interpretation assistance, immigration and naturalization services, and art and cultural events.
